November’s meeting will be on a military topic presented by Ian Edwardson, a Caloundra Family History Research Inc member, interested in history and genealogy. Ian recently presented “Caloundra in World War II including Bribie Island” at the Snapshots of Caloundra’s History conference.
Ian is writing a new topic for this general meeting titled, “They Passed This Way”, as some 10,000 Australian soldiers were based in the Landsborough Shire during World War II. Where did they come from and where did they go?
Caloundra Family History has a talk and general meeting for the months of January to November. It is held on the 3rd Thursday of the month from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm. This meeting is planned to be a hybrid meeting with attendance in the rooms and via Zoom.
