Speaker: Jerry McBrien
The guest speaker for the April 2021 general meeting is Mr Jerry McBrien, historian, military history lecturer & author of “War in the Pacific: The First Six Months – Defending Australia”. This book tells this dramatic story for a new audience and celebrates the efforts of those who fought and won the war, from the infantrymen to the joint chiefs of staff.
He is now working on a follow-up book, “War in the Pacific – Kokoda, Guadalcanal and Milne Bay”.
The topic for the talk is “Australia’s war, 80 years ago this week”.
