War Histories of Our Soldiers Project
The goal of this project is to publish a book with the war history biographies of the ancestors of members’ soldiers. Members will use the Australian War Memorial and other websites to research soldiers’ war histories. We will be meeting in the rooms from Monday 10 July 2023 every six weeks. This is to allow for research time in between.
Trisha will mentor participants through the research and writing processes. We aim to take ten months to research soldiers’ history. Members will have about three months to write their soldiers’ biography ready for publication in November 2024. An example of a similar published book will be brought to the meetings. A copy of Albert Thornely’s WWI biography will also be available on the CFHRI website shortly.
