In July Guest Speaker, Ms. Lee Goleby will be presenting “One Ship, One Voyage, One Colony: The ‘Great Victoria’ in Queensland’s History”.

As a descendant of James and Mary Ann Goleby, who came from the United Kingdom on the steamship Great Victoria with their four sons, Lee has a wealth of family history to share. The Goleby’s could be described as one of the founding families of Ipswich and influenced Queensland’s History. At this talk, she will be sharing about the ship the Great Victoria and more.
