We have been fortunate to have had Helen present many times at Caloundra Family History as she also presents at International & National Conferences and genealogy cruises. This talk, on Searching the Internet Effectively could lead you to smash through that annoying brick wall or save you time by improved searching methods.
Helen is a speaker, researcher, author with a strong interest in medical and social history. She is a DNA specialist with experience in autosomal, YDNA and mtDNA and is convenor of the Genealogical Society of Queensland’s DNA Special Interest Group (SIG). She is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists and Genealogical Speakers Guild.
Helen has written Google The Genealogist’s Friend by Helen V. Smith is available from Gould Genealogy & History in softcover and e-book format. While published back in 2016 it still has much current information that is useful to family historians on how to perform Google search that delivers result.
She is also a Molecular Epidemiologist specialising in Public Health Microbiology and has a strong interest in infectious diseases and Public Health through the ages with a Graduate Diploma in Public Health, Bachelor Applied Science: Medical Laboratory Science and Associate Diploma in Clinical Laboratory Techniques.
