Our Journal is the Caloundra Clipper
A competition was run to find a name for our journal. The winning entry was “Caloundra Clipper”, so named after the many ships that brought our ancestors to our shores from countries far and wide.
Our Editor works hard to compile a varied and interesting array of articles for this quarterly produced journal. The journal is published in March, June, September and December. Each issue includes stories submitted by members, committee reports, summaries of guest speakers’ talks, new acquisitions, helpful hints on researching, new members’ interests, and much more, including upcoming events. Members are encouraged to submit articles for publication.
All entries in the annual Lorrie Barzdo Writers’ Award and Hazel Rose Seto Novice Writers’ Award are published in the Caloundra Clipper.
Members receive the journal free as part of their membership and have access to many past issues in the Caloundra Clipper members-only section of the website. The journal is emailed to over 75 family history societies all over Australia and overseas.
