Dawn Kemp – A Loyal Friend Lost

As previously advised we lost Dawn Kemp on 12 October 2020 after a long illness.  Dawn was a well-known member of the group, who had been a loyal and supportive member for many years.  She held the positions of Assistant Librarian from 2005 to 2007, and then as Treasurer from 2007 until 2018 – 11 years of counting our pennies.  During that period, under Dawn’s careful managing, our finances grew substantially.

Now we know that Dawn will be chastising those ancestors who made her life so difficult when trying to track them down.  She will be revelling in their stories and telling a few of her own, I’m sure.

Dawn leaves two daughters, Chris and Heather.  Chris is also a member of our group.  Our condolences have been sent to Chris to share with Heather and we hope our kind thoughts ease some of the pain of loss.

  1. Relaxing in peace with no more struggles for breath. Catching up with the ancestors with all those unanswered questions, and hearing their stories at last. We will miss you Dawn…
