On Friday, 20 March 2026, the Advanced MS Excel training will be held in the rooms. This is a practical session on “Advanced MS Excel” and how to use it when writing up your family history with Trisha Hyde, Training Officer.

This advanced session looks at various methods of summarising information, including pivot tables, charts and pie charts, creating simple formulas and inserting symbols and pictures into your spreadsheet.

This training is with Trisha Hyde, Training Officer.

Why are spreadsheets useful when researching family history?
It is an easy way to keep a research log, create checklists, DNA results tracking, research planning, timelines and much more.

Equipment Requirement: USB loaded with provided files.

Participants will be sent some files to download onto a USB to use during the training. Please bring this USB with you.
