The conference started with “Welcome to Country” and a presentation by First Nations Speaker, Lyndon Davis on life for the traditional owners before European settlement. His talk was captivating. He brought a number of tools and other items for us to view. He also played the didgeridoo for us including a  special request by one of the audience.

Lyndon agreed to let me publish an image of him on our website, and for possible future use on social media and I was fortunate to be in the photo. Also following are a photo of the tools and other items and a close-up shot of some items.

Thanks and sources

We acknowledge and thank John & Janice Groves, Anne Wensley and Erica Riis for allowing us to use their books for research. The authors attended the event and sold books on the day.

We would also like to thank “Picture Sunshine Coast” at the Heritage Library in Nambour for supplying us with many of the photos we are using in this presentation.
