Guest speaker for February 2021 General Meeting is Matthew Wengert, Historian & Author of ‘City in Masks’, ‘Within/Without These Walls’ and other books.  An independent curator and professional historian, Matthew has lived in Brisbane since the 1980s. Following his BA (Hons) in Media Studies at Griffith University he worked there as a researcher and tutor for close to ten years, while also researching for ABC and SBS documentaries.

He is also the  2019 co-winner of the State Library of Queensland John Oxley Library Fellowship.

Matthew will be talking to us on “Designs-Details-Devils: A Visual History of Queensland’s Government Printing Office 1862-2013”.
